A Day to Life Post – 4.

It’s my younger bother’s wedding in June, which is less than 5months. He’s a year younger to me and this would be the first wedding in our family and among the siblings. We are 4 of us, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, including me. He and his fiancé registered their marriage in court on the 28th of December, 2012, so if we go to see they are legally married. The wedding in June is going to be a traditional Indian wedding with all the customs and will go on for at least 5 days, we really do have lots of rituals and they have to be performed before the wedding. My granny, aunt and cousins will be flying down to be a part of all the ceremonies.

I am just excited, actually we all are. So many preparations have to be done and I am so sure that the time will just fly. There’s so much to do in so little time. Shopping for all, deciding on songs for the dance, the invites, preparing the guests list, sending the invites, the list of things to be done is just too long. Luckily the venues are already booked. So in some of the coming posts I will be talking about the preparations for the wedding.

It’s so exciting, can’t wait for the wedding day. 🙂

  1. Is it going to be a big Indian wedding shindig like you see on TV? The women in all beautiful saris and the groom on a horse? That would be awesome to attend and of course photograph. I hope to see lots of wonderful pictures.
