Happy Navratri!

Today I am sharing another festival that has begun in India.
Navratri – The word Navaratri literally means nine nights in Sanskrit, nava meaning nine and ratri meaning nights. This festival is dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity Maa Durga. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti/Devi are worshiped. The tenth day is commonly referred to as Vijayadashami or “Dussehra” and it is one of the most important Hindu festivals. Today is the 3rd day of this beautiful festival. Here in India, evenings give rise to the religious dances that are widely performed to worship Goddess Durga Maa. This festival is celebrated in almost all the parts of India differently.

Happy Navratri to All !
